Andrew Shearer has joined Chemsil Silicones, Inc. filling the position of Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory.
Andrew has a BS degree in Chemistry and Forensic Science from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania. He has spent the last 4 years working for John Paul Mitchell Systems as both a Quality Control Manager and R & D Chemist at both their Reading PA plant and their Santa Clarita, CA facility.
He has extensive knowledge in laboratory instrumentation, regulatory affairs and quality control systems.

Chemsil Silicones Inc continues its international expansion with the appointment of Parkim A.S of Istanbul Turkey as exclusive distributor for the Turkish personal care and cosmetic market. Parkim has been active in the personal care market since 2004 serving customers with a hands on technical approach to sales and product development.

Huy Tran has recently joined Chemsil as Director of Manufacturing. Huy received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California Irvine. Since then he has held Process Engineering and Manufacturing Engineer positions with leading multinational chemical companies. Huy has in depth experience in a number of quality tools such as Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiment.

Chemsil introduces two new products to its line of specialty silicones. Cosmetic Fluid 1555-NH is a high molecular weight amino functional silicone compound that provides long lasting conditioning, shine and softness. Cosmetic Fluid 1555-NH when used in a conditioner will help repair damaged hair without the typical build up associated with cationic polymers. Cosmetic Fluid 8110-DMC is a highly volatile and elegant skin serum. This new product combines fast dry time, smooth spreadability and silky soft feel all without D5 or any other cyclomethicones. A matte finish is provided, easily accepts oil soluble anti-aging ingredients.
